What is a filter press machine?

A filter press machine is a device which is used to separate solids and liquids. A filter press machine consists of a chamber where the liquid is placed, along with a series of plates with holes in them. The plates are then placed on top of each other, then the liquid is forced through the holes with a pump. This leaves the solids left behind on the plates, and the liquids are then collected in a container.

How do Filter Press Machines Work?

Firstly, whatever material needs to be filtered is fed into the filter press machine. Then, the pump contained within the machine creates a pressure difference between the two sides of the filter membrane. It is this pressure difference that forces the material through the membrane, allowing the desired particles to pass through. From here, the undesired particles are trapped on the other side of the membrane, and the filtered material is then collected on the other side of the machine.
